What's the "V" Word? The "V" Word is the lifeblood of most sports organisations. Certainly we at Carlton consider the "V" Word to be a critical ingrediant to the club's winning of the Club Championship in Season 2006/2007. The "V" Word is simply "VOLUNTEER". Carlton enjoys the contributions of many people who come forward and act in the capacity of a Volunteer. Our Volunteers include the Board that manages the good health of the club, those who run the bar, operate the kitchen and organise afternoon teas, cook for club BBQ's and act as Team Managers or Scorers. Volunteers gain personal satisfaction on many levels. First there is the enjoyment of being a part of the club's performances. Second is aiding the club's continuing development and thirdly of being a part of the next chapters in the club's history. Of course there is one other Volunteer role who effectively operates as a right-hand man to the Club Coach at Training. This Volunteer is the Practice Captain. This is where YOU come in! Carlton is looking for someone who would like to be involved with this fantastic cricket club in the role of Practice Captain for Season 2007/2008. You will quickly be a part of and contributing to the further success of Carlton Cricket Club as you work with Peter Di Venuto (Club Coach) to ensure the smooth operation of Nets Practice. If you would like to find out more about how you can be involved with Carlton through this role then contact Carlton by the following email link. Email = carlton@club.cricketvictoria.com.au |
